Description

This light and fast drying towel is practical, beautiful and ecological choice. The material innovation by Lapuan Kankurit is using Tencel with absorbent linen. Tencel is European innovation that is made of cellulosic fibers with ecological process. Lapuan Kankurit combined these two fibres and developed a wonderful, soft and absorbent material that takes spa experience in totally new level.

Traceable natural materials

Made of comfortable and breathable natural fibres: flax, Tencel and cotton. The warp is made of Tencel Lyocell and cotton fibre and the weft is made of linen yarn. Our linen, grown with the power of rainwater in Central Europe, is 100 % traceable and Masters of Linenā€“certified. Tencel is a European invention, a responsibly produced wood pulp fibre. Its production is FSCā€“certified which guarantees that the wood used as raw material in the production is responsibly sourced.

The yarns have been spun and dyed in the EU area according to the REACH regulations.

Own transparent production

Our own production in Lapua, Finland, enables us to develop new textile innovations and to combine the best materials together, of which this textile is a soft example. We want to be responsible for the production of our products ourselves, starting from the yarn all the way to the finished product. This is why the most significant part of the production is done in our own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland.

The product design, material purchases, loom programming and warping as well as the pre-work stages, weaving and fabric inspection are done in our own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland. The sewing is done in our subsidiaryā€™s own sewing department in Kaunas, Lithuania, or in our own sewing department in Lapua. The product finishing is done in our finishing plant in Lapua, Finland.

Care instructions

Delicate laundry wash at 60Ā°C in plenty of water. Wash separately. 40Ā°C is also an adequate wash temperature. Do not use softner and bleach. Normal spin cycle. Reshape whilst damp. Sustainable production

Developing the best textiles in the world is our passion. The world is changing, and Lapuan Kankurit has the courage to develop entirely new products and invest in our own production.

Our top designs are woven in Lapua, in the middle of the Ostrobothnian fields. Our own mill, the young, open-minded professionals, and the experienced older craftsmen who work there allow us to make our products a little better every day.

We use only natural raw materials. We know where our materials come from, and we also know all the working stages from thread to finished product. This produces a result we can be proud of.

Tencel

We have increasingly replaced cotton with the cellulose-based regenerated fibre Tencel due to environmental reasons, but also for its absorbency and softness.

TencelĀ® is a registered trademark for the lyocell fibre manufactured by the Austrian company Lenzing, with 100 % of Tencel originating from the EU area. Tencel is also spun into yarn in Europe.
