Discover Autumn’s New Releases: KUOHU towels in new colours
Our KUOHU towels, designed by Maëlis Ray, have gained huge popularity in the short amount of time since they were released. This autumn KUOHU dresses up in two new, somber tones: black-linen and black-blueberry. The KUOHU design is available as a large bath towel and a hand towel.
The KUOHU design takes inspiration from water’s flow, waves, and the texture of seafoam. This light and fast drying towel is practical, beautiful and ecological choice.
The KUOHU towels are made of comfortable and breathable natural fibres: flax, Tencel and cotton. Did you know that the Tencel-linen mix is our very own innovation?

Meet the designer: Maëlis Ray
Maëlis Ray is a French textile designer who was born and raised in Lyon, the city known for its silk weaving tradition and the invention of the jacquard machine. Studying her bachelor’s at ESAAT and ENSAIT in Roubaix, another town with a history of textile industry, she pursued her master’s degree at the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås, Sweden, which she graduated from in 2023.
“Since the beginning, we have taken pride in being both kind and one of a kind.
What, then, keeps us original? Maybe it’s that we never settle. There’s always bigger dreams to dream, more to discover, more ways to do things better than ever.”
Linen is one of our favourite materials. It is ecological, comfortable on the skin and easy to use.
Linen absorbs moisture effectively: a linen towel can soak moisture up to 20 % of its own weight without feeling wet. The fibre also releases moisture quickly, so the textiles dry fast. Due to the absorption capacity of linen less material is required for the products, which is why our linen towels are so light weight. Some of our bath products feature terrycloth, a pleasantly rough material which improves beneficial blood circulation and pampers the skin.
