A table setting symbolises community. It speaks to everyone in welcome tones, letting each participant know that they are included. A set table is the warm embrace of the gathered company, enveloping and holding them close.

Meet the designer: Armi Teva
Armi Teva is a Finnish ceramist, visual artist, designer and illustrator, who has captured the hearts of the public with her cheerful and compelling ceramic face reliefs. Now her light-hearted and free-spirited imagery can be found adorning Lapuan Kankurit’s textiles.
It’s often said that art imitates life. In Armi’s case, the art imitates the artist’s life, in particular. Her expressive style is very true to her, reflecting who she is at her core yet always evolving with her.

“I both enjoy and value when things are done with a certain self-confidence and exuberance—when life is approached with a playful mindset.”

Linen is one of our favourite materials. Linen is a durable, inflexible natural fibre. It shines beautifully and repels dirt, which is why it suits well for table settings.
Linen absorbs moisture effectively: a linen towel can soak moisture up to 20 % of its own weight without feeling wet. The fibre also releases moisture quickly, so the textiles dry fast. Due to the absorption capacity of linen less material is required for the products, which is why our linen towels are so light weight.
