Description
The VIIVA pattern is a design classic by Dora Jung from 1959. Jung (1906–1980) was a bold innovator, a pioneer of textile art, and a developer of weaving techniques, with an exceptional sense of aesthetics, colors, and shapes. Her designs garnered significant awards both nationally and internationally. Jung was inspired by the idea of creating a more beautiful everyday life for Finnish homes, and her patterns were woven at the Tampella factory into almost hand-made products. Now, more than 60 years later, Dora Jung’s linen textiles are being revived at Lapuan Kankurit weaving mill, perfectly suited for both everyday and festive table settings today.
