Description
The MARIA throw is made using a traditional weave and genuine wool. Its understated and elegant design suits any home. The MARIA throw is also an excellent gift idea.
The fringed MARIA throw is made of 100% pure new wool and brushed to a soft finish, making it feel comfortable even against bare skin. The yarns used in the throw are spun mainly from undyed wool of Scandinavian sheep.
Over 95% of our products are woven in Lapua, Finland. However, our collection also includes a few items manufactured elsewhere. This blanket is produced at our subsidiary and partly owned weaving mill in Kaunas, Lithuania. Alternatively, we also offer many blankets, which are woven in Finland in our own mill in Lapua.
Traceable natural materials
The wool yarn is spun in the EU area. The warp and weft yarn is spun from Scandinavian and New Zealand sheep wool. Scandinavian wool is coarse, long fibre. The fibre is used undyed whenever possible. The yarns have been spun according to the REACH regulations. The yarns are made of mulesing-free wool.
Own transparent production
The textile is designed in Lapua, Finland. The production of this product is done in our subsidiary and co-owned weaving mill in Kaunas, Lithuania.
The warping as well as the pre-work stages, weaving and fabric inspection as well as the wadding, drying and tuft finishing are done in our co-owned weaving mill in Kaunas. If necessary, the sewing is done in our subsidiary’s own sewing department in Kaunas. The Lithuanian companies share the same responsibility principles as our Lapua operation.
