After a day outside there is nothing better than heat up your home sauna and enjoy the relaxing warmth and traditional linen sauna textiles. Elina Helenius, awarded textile artist is a permanent member of our design team. She has designed minimal LAUANTAI pattern. Inspired by nature Elina is designing high quality, beautiful, timeless products for every day use. Traditional LAUANTAI pattern fits perfectly for Finnish Sauna.
We weave our sauna textiles in our own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland, using fully traceable European long-staple linen. Our unique finishing facility, located next to the weaving mill in Lapua, allows us to give these textiles a high-quality finish. This means that, with proper care, the textile will retain its shape in home washing and maintain its form wash after wash.
Please note that our sauna pillows can be also used as a travel pillow. It’s also the perfect companion to take along to a yoga studio or for a day at the beach.
Traceable natural materials
We love flax fibre, as it is a breathable and durable material – as well as one of the cleanest natural fibres in the world. Because we want our products to have long lifecycles, we pay special attention to the quality and production of our linen fibre: the Masters of Linen–certified warp and weft yarn we use is made of 100 % traceable European long staple flax. The yarns have been spun and dyed in the EU area according to the REACH regulations. The filling is SL-1-graded fireproof polyester. SL references the Finnish flammability grading, with SL-1 being the most fireproof.
WE ADVISE CAUTION: Keep the pillow a safe distance away from the hot sauna stove. Do not fall asleep in the sauna. Remember to remove all textiles from the sauna after use, and do not leave them in the sauna to dry.
Own transparent production
We want to be responsible for the production of our products ourselves, starting from the yarn all the way to the finished product. This is why the most significant part of the production is done in our own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland.
The product design, material purchases, loom programming and warping as well as the pre-work stages, weaving and fabric inspection are done in our own weaving mill in Lapua, Finland. The sewing is done in our subsidiary’s own sewing department in Kaunas, Lithuania, or in our own sewing department in Lapua. The stuffing and final sewing of the pillow are done in Jalasjärvi, Finland. The product finishing is done in our finishing plant in Lapua, Finland.
Care instructions
Wash the new textile before use. Delicate laundry wash at 40°C in plenty of water on a slow washing spin. Wash separately. Avoid softener and bleach. Reshape whilst damp. Do not tumble dry.
The filling is 100% fire resistant polyester fibre. The colour of natural linen becomes lighter with washing. Shrinkage approx. 5 %.
Keep away from the hot stove. Do not sleep in the sauna. Remember to take the textiles out of the sauna always after use, do not dry textiles inside sauna.
