Reippaan ulkoilupäivän jälkeen on ihana lämmittää kotisauna, nauttia rentouttavasta lämmöstä ja perinteisistä pellavaisista saunatekstiileistä. Design-tiimimme jäsen, palkittu tekstiilitaiteilija Elina Helenius suunnitteli mallistoomme vähäeleisen LAUANTAI-kuosin. Suomalaisesta luonnosta inspiroituva Elina luo laadukkaita, ajattomia, kauniita ja käytännöllisiä tekstiilejä. LAUANTAI-kuosi on perinteinen ja ajaton, ja sopii siksi täydellisesti suomalaiseen saunaan.

Care instructions

Pese pellavatekstiilit 60°C hienopesuohjelmalla ilman linkousta, erillään muusta pyykistä väljässä vedessä. Myös 40°C riittää. Älä käytä huuhteluainetta ja vältä valkaisuaineita. Kuosittele tekstiilit mittoihinsa ja kuivaa pyöreällä orrella tai tasolla. Ei rumpukuivausta. Pellavatekstiili kuivuu nopeasti, joten tarkkaile kuivumista ja mankeloi tai silitä tekstiili sen ollessa vielä kostea. Värjäämätön pellava vaalenee pesujen myötä. Kankaan kutistuvuus n. 7%. Elina Helenius

Meet the designer

Elina Helenius

Textile, color and surface designer, Master of Arts Elina Helenius was graduated from University of Art and Design Helsinki, now known as AALTO University. Over twentyfive years she has been working extensively in the field of textile, color and surface design with domestic and international clients.

Since the beginning of the year 2018 she has been part of Lapuan Kankurit internal design team. Elina Helenius nominated as a Finnish textile artist of the year 2012 has been awarded several times in design competitions. Her designs feature in international collections and have been exhibited at the design exhibitions worldwide.

Developing the best textiles in the world is our passion. The world is changing, and Lapuan Kankurit has the courage to develop entirely new products and invest in our own production.


Our top designs are woven in Lapua, in the middle of the Ostrobothnian fields. Our own mill, the young, open-minded professionals, and the experienced older craftsmen who work there allow us to make our products a little better every day.

We use only natural raw materials. We know where our materials come from, and we also know all the working stages from thread to finished product. This produces a result we can be proud of.

Get to know material

Linen

Linen is one of our favourite materials. It is ecological, comfortable on the skin and easy to use. Linen absorbs moisture effectively and the textiles also dry fast!

The Masters of Linen flax we use, is grown by rainwater in France, Netherlands and Belgium, requiring no irrigation or much fertilizing.
