For Elias, the path has felt natural since childhood, and he is currently studying textile engineering at Tampere University of Applied Sciences.
Vilma has done the masters of science in economics and works full-time as a Solution Development Manager at a large Finnish company. Her decision to continue the family business was strongly influenced by the effective communication between the siblings and the trust they have in one another, even in difficult situations.
For a long time, Eero was convinced that he would not become a successor to Lapuan Kankurit and instead pursued a career as an economist. However, a growing appreciation for the work of previous generations and for domestic textile production eventually changed his mind.
Sukupolvenvaihdos toteutetaan asteittain, joten sisaruksilla on hyvin aikaa sovitella kankureiden saappaita jalkoihinsa. Aika näyttää, millaisen roolin he kukin yrityksessä ottavat. Yhteisenä toiveena on, että he voivat osaltaan olla mukana viemässä eurooppalaista tekstiilituotantoa eteenpäin.
