New In - Originality, the Like of Oceans

Our SS2026 collection echoes the call of the sea. Sea is a primordial and everlasting force of nature that draws us in. It calls us to adventure and peace; to joy and solitude.

Our new collection celebrates the unbreakable link between stripe patterns, the beach and the sea. Elina Helenius, the Head Designer of Lapuan Kankurit, shares how everything has its roots in originality.

“For a while now we have focused on themes of originality with our design team. While designing the new collection, we started to ponder how the weaving of patterned textiles even came to be—and would you know it, it began with stripes. The very first patterns on woven textiles were stripes. This realisation led us to incorporate a lot of stripes into our new collection, which naturally led our thoughts towards the sea and beach life.”

The new collection features gorgeous new textiles and colours from acclaimed designers such as Elina Helenius, Armi Teva, minä perhonen’s Akira Minagawa as well as Lapuan Kankurit’s in-house design team.
